How do I get licensed as a building contractor in Cyprus?

The competent authority is the Council for the Registration and Control of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors. Requirements include EU citizenship or being the spouse or child of an EU citizen resident in Cyprus, being physically and mentally able to register, having no legal incapability from a judicial decision, documented academic and practical experience per class, registration with the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber for certain professions, the necessary mechanical equipment for the class, and permanent technical clerical staff. Application fees are 600 euros (Class A), 450 euros (Class B), 340 euros (Class C), 225 euros (Class D), and 180 euros (Class E); the registration fee is 200 euros for all classes; and licence and renewal fees are 490 euros (A), 330 euros (B), 245 euros (C), 165 euros (D), and 80 euros (E). The applicant is informed of the authorisation decision within three months from the date the application was duly submitted, and the licence is valid until the 31st of December of the year for which it was issued. The application can be submitted through PSC Cyprus or by contacting the competent authority directly in Nicosia.
