Phil Oh captures coats and colour off the runway in New York

Phil Oh spent September 2026 outside the tents and townhouses hosting New York's Spring 2027 shows, camera in hand. His street style photographs from that week show a shift back toward colour and coats, according to press reports.

Scarves were the detail worth noticing. Attendees wore them knotted at the throat, draped over blazers, or tied at the wrist rather than folded away for warmth alone.

Two designers ran through the week's looks more than any others. Stuart Vevers and Michael Rider shaped what showgoers reached for outside their own presentations, from outerwear silhouettes to silk accessories worn as scarves, per press coverage of the week.
